We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Global Sub-Category Lead Subsea Line Pipe and Coating for a temporary duration with our Client. The successful candidate will develop, execute, and maintain a comprehensive category strategy to deliver best-in-class results at the global level. This role involves providing guidelines and consultancy for regional execution, developing tools and guidance for category team members, and identifying opportunities and suppliers that offer a clear advantage in functionality, cost, quality, delivery reliability, logistics, and reduced total cost.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain supplier relationships and partnerships.
• Create global, regional, and local sourcing strategies to meet project requirements.
• Negotiate and develop frame agreements in support of the strategy.
• Mentor and advise local/regional buyers to support the global sourcing strategy.

Job Scope and Authorities:

• Develop market knowledge of the assigned category.
• Develop and maintain supplier relationships and partnerships.
• Responsible for developing global, regional, and local sourcing strategies.
• Negotiate and develop frame agreements

Qualifications:

• Technical and/or commercial degree minimum at bachelor level. Extensive work experience can compensate for lack of formal competency.
• Minimum 4-5 years experience in a service related role, in sourcing or procurement, engineering or operation.
• 7 years experience from of oil & gas, preferrably procurement of subsea services.

Interpersonal Skills:

• Ability to lead and develop a strategy for different countries, regions, and requirements.
• Ability to analyze and structure a complex and global category.
• Ability to liaise and work efficiently with global category procurement teams.
• Strong cultural awareness and communication skills.
• Ability to handle dynamic work environments.
• Negotiation skills
