Job Description

For our Client we are looking for a skilled automation engineer to work in a large oil & gas C-study for an FPSO. The project consists of new Topside and Hull-systems design, with a high focus on global design solutions across several contractual interfaces. The right candidate will have the opportunity to develop his/her skills within earl-phase conceptual engineering of SAS and other Automation systems.

Tasks include: 

• System Design, interface and follow up of Safety and Automation System activities as appointed by automation discipline lead.
• Specification of philosophies for Global SAS and automation design through topside SAS, Hull, Subsea and other large contrctual interfaces. 
• Input to, and review of, technical studies to be performed by vendors
• Perform and complete engineering documents and data registers
• Interface to other disciplines, contractors, suppliers and client

Qualifications:

• Bachelor or higher.
• EX-course and FSE-course
• Minimum 15 years’ experience from automation engineering in green field projects 
• Minimum 8 years’ Experience from automation and SAS system design, incl SAS/automation network solutions.
• Documented experience for follow-up of large multidiscipline packages
• Experience and thorough knowledge of automation design and networks according to relevant standards such as NORSOK, ATEX, PTIL, and IEC
• Efficient communicator, who communicate well in English - Both orally and in writing
• Cooperative working attitude and acceptance for multicultural team environment 
• Ability to work independently as well as in team 
• Systematic and accurate, with high loyalty to deadline and quality requirements 
• Proactive, seeking advice and share own experiences with others
